Crime and fungus

"Leave my bike the fuck alone you bastard.
Change the lock when you steal something next time smart ass."

It's late

... and I think the neighbours just spotted me taking a photo of them from across the street. Felt like a pervy stalker. Pretended to play with the camera. Hm. Time for bed.

Marine theme

The tall ships are in town for a big baltic race. Hence the marine theme of today's photos.

Home sweet home

Nice to be back in what we now call home. Went for a lovely walk along the water in the evening...
Looks ok, doesn't it?

City oasis

It turned out to be a hot and sunny day. This little oasis in Millenium park attracted lots of people, especially kids wanting to cool off and play in the fountain.

Spectacular day!

Took a boat cruise on the river on what turned out to be a spectacular day!

Shiny shiny

With all those window cleaners working around the clock, the buildings get very shiny...

Reflections

In the millenium park there's this big shiny egg-shaped sculpture which creates some pretty cool reflections on both the outside and inside of the egg..

Hanging high

More window cleaners. It's pretty amazing watching them hang 80m up in the air, only attached through one rope.

Buddy Guy's Legends

Went to Buddy Guy's Legends tonight. There were rumours that Eric Claptop would show up. He didn't, but it was still a great show.

The "L"

The elevated trains that is. Looks very "Old America" - whatever that is.

Downtown Chicago

Terrible pic - I know. Promise to post better ones in the coming days...

In Chicago

At least I'm in the right city now. But my luggage isn't. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day.

I heart NY?

How did I end up here? I thought I was supposed to go to Chicago... It's late, haven't slept much. I'm tired and grumpy and not very keen at all on being in NY. No disrespect.

Swedish lesson

Notice about the windows getting painted during the summer. Two Swedish things about it:
1. Swedes use week numbers. "I'm going on holiday week 28-29" they say and expect you to know exactly when that is...
2. Swedes like writing "Obs!" as in "Observera!", meaning "Note" (lit. "observe"). (There shouldn't be any dots between the letters though, but hey who am I to fly back into the country and start correcting the locals...?)

One wants more!

You're a man and you feel that it's time to take a new step in life.
Together with a small group of men you get to set your course. We'll spend five days in Stockholms outer archipelago. [...] It will be an opportunity to go deep inside yourself [...] The group will be your support in the exercises and conversations, nature is part of your exploration [...]
You will come home with a concrete plan for the next step in your life.
- Who am I - with or without mobile, computer, TV ...?
- Love or Fear - what do I choose?
- Masculine and feminine - differences and complement!
- My dreams - my vision?
- My next goal - that's where I want to reach!

Another beautiful day!

Went for a cycle ride along the water after work and had dinner at "nyfiken gul" where you barbeque your own food. Felt like we were on holiday for a few hours... I love these long days!

Drinks at Götgatan

Saturday stroll

Pretty pot plants.

Shoe repairist.

Pippi Longstocking is rebelling? The text is the lyrics of the Pippi Longstockings song. hmmm

Not quite sure what this is. But the man on the sticker is Christer Petterson, who was arrested, convicted and then freed on appeal for the murder or the Swedish prime minister, Olof Palme...

Långholmen.

View from Långholmsbron. Spectacular day today!
